Unidentified booked for selling illicit liquor

The Bilga police have booked an unidentified person on the charges of selling illicit country-made liquor.

Investigating Officer (IO) Ashwani Kumar said that the accused was carrying 98 bottles of hooch on a scooter but managed to flee after seeing police.

IO said a case under sections 61/1/14 of the Excise Act has been registered against the accused and an impounded scooter used for carrying hooch.
