Paddy procurement crosses target in Nurmahal

NURMAHAL 25 NOVEMBER 

 The total purchase of paddy by the state government and private agencies from farmers crossed 7,49,960 quintals on Saturday, more than last year’s purchase of 6,88,783 quintals on this day in grain markets under the jurisdiction of the Nurmahal market committee. Committee secretary Rupinder Singh said that the government agencies are aiming at purchasing more quintals of paddy with expectations of bumper paddy crops. He said that 6,60,097 quintals of purchased paddy have been lifted from grain markets.
