Shahkot resident arrested for stealing  woman’s scooter

The Shahkot police have arrested one miscreant on the charge of stealing a woman’s scooter.

Investigating Officer (IO) Lakhvir Singh said that the accused has been identified as Sukhdev Singh alias Bittu son of Pritam Singh a resident of New Kartar Nagar Shahkot.

Sunita Ranni daughter of Pandit Raunnki Ram a resident of Sohal Jagir village complained to the police that the accused and his other accomplices stole her scooter (PB-67—D-8790) from the village. She said that her iPhone was in the scooter’s dicky.

IO said a case under sections 379(theft) and 411(dishonestly receiving stolen property of the IPC has been registered against the accused and his accomplices Gurpreet Singh son of Balvir Singh a resident of Sohal Jagir village and his brother Harjinder Singh and recovered stolen scooter from the possession of arrested accused.
