Notorious drug smuggler arrested with 1 kilogram of heroin,Rs 8.5 Lakhs drug money

 The Phillaur police have arrested a notorious drug smuggler with a huge quantity of contraband and drug money.

Station House Officer (SHO) Surinder Kumar Kamboj said that the accused had been identified as Surinder Singh alias Shinda son of Harbans Singh a resident of Burj Hassan village under Bilga police station.

 SHO said that the accused was hiding in a house in Nurmahal town. It fired at the police party which conducted a raid and recovered from his possession 1 kilogram of heroin, Rs 8 Lakhs 50000 drug money one pistol 9 m .m 5 cartridges, and two empty cartridges.

SHO said that the accused was wanted by the police in a case under section 15 (c)/29/of the NDPS Act registered on June 14, 2023. Many cases of drug peddling are pending against the accused who was selling heroin poppy husk and other drugs in areas.
