DC visits industrial unit at Kala Bakra, listens to issues, seeks feedback
JALANDHAR 2 SEPTEMBER
In a bid to address the issues being faced by industrialists, Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal visited a leading exporter of garden hand tools Unison Lawn Equipment in Kala Bakra and assured timely action on their concerns and problems.
During the interaction, the Deputy Commissioner solicited their suggestions and feedback in preparing new skill training programs according to their needs so that the unemployed youth can get jobs here rather than going overseas. He also asked the industrialists to provide data regarding the kind of skilled workers they required so that the administration could work accordingly. He also mentioned that the collective efforts of the administration and industrialists can eliminate unemployment by generating maximum job opportunities for unemployed youth.
Sarangal also asserted that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was taking appropriate measures to provide a conducive environment to the industry. He said that the Chief Minister would soon hold discussions with local industrialists in the city and would effectively redress their grievances.
Meanwhile, the DC also took around the manufacturing units in the industry where owners apprised him about the several production phases. Welcoming the Deputy Commissioner, the owners of Unison Lawn Equipment provided insight into equipment mostly exported to Europe and other countries. They also expressed hope that the Chief Minister will solve all pending issues in the meeting.
