Villager booked for stealing contractors’ sand.

The Bilga police have booked a village on the charge of stealing contractors’ sand.
Investigating officer (IO) Avtar Lal said that the accused has been identified as Jagan Deep Singh a resident of Talwann village.
Junior Engineer cum mining inspector of Bist Doab sub-division Hardeep Kumar complained to the police that the accused stole sand dumped by contractors.
IO said that a case under section 379(theft) of the IPC and section 21 of Mines and Mineral Rules has been registered against the accused.
