Gurbinder Atwal dies of brain hemorrhage

 

 NURMAHAL 25 JULY

The popular leader of Nurmahal areas and former Congress minister Gurbinder Atwal passed away on Tuesday morning. He suffered a brain hemorrhage during his flight to Srinagar two days ago. Surgery was conducted on him. He breathed his last this morning. He hailed from Phillaur and was Bar-At-Law and a member of the Phillaur Bar Association.

Atwal was first elected member of the Punjab Legislature Assembly in the 1992 election and was appointed as Chairman of the Punjab State Marketing Board by chief minister Beant Singh. He was the chief parliamentary secretary during his second term
